Chris Gatt started his theatrical career 30 years ago, first as an actor,the theatre director and now also as a light designer.
As a theatre director he is as comfortable directing musicals as he is directing classic drama. Recent work includes Mamma Mia!, Marlowe’s The Jew of Malta, the Christmas Pantomime Sleeping Beauty, Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing as well as contemporary plays such as Mercury Fur and the Gothic Horror The Pillowman.
He is also privileged to have helped launch the careers of a number of young actors through his work with young creatives.
He was also responsible for the launch and development of Malta’s first contemporary centre for creativity housed in St James Cavalier
