GAME ON brought together different styles of dancing all revolving around the theme of GAMES. SOPA dance tutors delved into various types of games which included traditional toys such as Cat and Mouse, the Pinata, Dolls and Cards to sports such as Tennis, the Olympic Games and Kung Fu and the more modern games like the Cup Song, Musical Trivia, Super Mario, Candy Crush and the Hunger Games. Around 150 dance students attending Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Hip hop and Spanish Dance performed to two packed houses.
At the end of the evening, Ms Theresa Lungaro Mifsud, head of Dance spoke about the progress that the school has made over the past couple of years and the excellent exam results. Ms Lungaro Mifsud mentioned how dance student Stephanie Bonnici was chosen to participate in the dance performance for CHOGM in November 2015 and also of her participation together with another student Hannah Spiteri, in the project ASPIRE which aims at giving young talented dancers experience with working with the Maltese Dance Company ZfinMalta.

Dance Expressions’ next event will be in THE BIG DANCE being held at the end of May and which is open to all SOPA dance students over the age of 10 years.
