SOPA has launched its Outreach Program for this scholastic year with Workshops and Performances for schools. A large variety or workshops to suit all ages.Whether your students are preparing for Drama at Matsec level or whether you just want to give your students a taste of music, dance or drama, there will certainly be something that will interest you.
Workshops will be held at our new premises in Swatar and conducted by professionals in each area. We are already taking bookings for the Autumn and Spring term.
Workshops available include the following
MUSICAL THEATRE PACKAGE – Sing, Act and Dance to a musical of your choice
DEVISING – create characters and write scenes based on improvised characters
PRACTIONERS – Complicite, Stanislavski, Brook, Brecht,
MUSIC APPRECIATION – combines music with dance and drama
A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO SHAKESPEARE – workshop and mini performance based on either Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth or Othello
RED RIDING HOOD THE OPERA – opera performance specifically for young children
DANCE – you get to choose two styles from Hip hop, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Spanish and Contemporary Dance
